KENDJAM – XINGU (2023 SEASON)

Experience the crystal clear waters, wet wading and sight fishing wonders of Kendjam plus the amazing payara fishing at Xingu river; with easy logistics and very simple access.

This combo is limited to just 2 of the best weeks in the 2023 season with groups of maximum 8 anglers in Late August - Early September.

International rate: USD 8.990 + USD 900 (native fee)

6 full fishing days in Kendjam and 3 full fishing days in Xingu.

COMBO TRIP KENDJAM  - XINGU 2023 SEASON

Saturday - Day 0

Arrive in Manaus. Our representatives will be waiting for you at the Manaus International Airport (MAO). Transfer from the airport to the Hotel. Overnight accommodations at the Juma Opera Hotel in Manaus, the night before departure to the Kendjam, are included in the package. The group will receive all information regarding the next day’s plan for time of departure, typically around 5:30 am weather depending. 

Sunday - Day 1

Breakfast Buffet at Hotel. The host will pick up the group at approximately 5:30 a.m. and head to the local airport, to board the charter flight to Kendjam. After a 3hs hour flight, guests will arrive at the Kendjam Indian Community landing strip where our guides and staff will be waiting. There will be a “Meet and Greet” providing anglers time to discover the Kayapo culture, social organization and more. We will present the group to the Indian chiefs. The group will head downstream to the Lodge. Anglers will be served a simple lunch of sandwiches for the 3hr boat trip downstream.. It’s a great trip to the lodge where anglers will see great river scenery, birds, animals and obviously lots of fish in the Iriri clear waters. Anglers will use this first afternoon to get situated and ready their tackle for the following day. That evening the fishing team will brief anglers on the daily fishing plans and make arrangements for any exploratory camping trip plans. 

Monday to Saturday - Day 2 to Day 7 - 6 full days of fishing at Kendjam

Each day individual teams (2 anglers) will head out for the day, fishing downstream the Iriri river, its channels and tributaries. Each two anglers will share a fluent English speaking fly fishing guide along with a local native guide in an aluminum boat. Both anglers are able to constantly fish all day long. We also have an option of outcamps for one or two nights. That allows anglers to access an amazing area never fished before by guests and also optimize fishing days with less navigation and more fishing hours. The outcamps are planned for two to four anglers. 

Typical Day: 

5:30 am - Coffee is hot 7:00 am - Breakfast
8:00 am - Head to fishing grounds
12 pm to 1 pm - Anglers will have a picnic style lunch on the river.
1:00 pm - After lunch, fishing will resume until late afternoon when the guides will deliver anglers back to the camp around 5:30pm.
6:30 pm - Cocktails and appetizers will be served
7:30 pm - Dinners will be served.

Sunday - Day 8

Early in the morning and after breakfast, boat ride upstream back to Kendjam village and again enjoy this amazing area, and wildlife. Most of the jaguars we spot in the season are seen on the arrival and departure day at this boat ride, so be prepared with your cameras. On arrival at Kendjam you will have the chance to buy some amazing local handcraft made by the Kayapos, and another visit to the village.  The charter flight arrives around noon, and you will fly from Kendjam to Pukararãnkre Indian Community (only 15 minutes). After landing, our guides and staff will be waiting for the group to head upstream to the lodge (15-20 minutes). It’s a great opportunity for the anglers to see great river scenery, birds, animals and some fish in the clear waters. After the arrival and accommodation, lunch will be served. Anglers will use this first afternoon to get situated, ready their tackle and have some fishing at the home pool. 

Monday to Wednesday - Day 9 to Day 11 – 3 full days of fishing at Xingu

Each day, individual teams (2 anglers) will head out for the day, fishing the Xingu river, its channels, rapids, lakes and tributaries. Each two anglers will share a fluent English speaking fly fishing guide along with a local native guide in an aluminum boat. Both anglers are able to constantly fish all day long. Will be planned to allow anglers to access an amazing new area never fished before by guests and also optimize fishing days with less navigation and more fishing hours.

Typical Day:

12:00am to 2:00 pm: Anglers will have lunch at the lodge.
2:00 pm: After lunch, fishing will resume until late afternoon when the guide will deliver anglers back to the lodge around 6:00 pm.

8:00 pm: Dinners will be served.

Thursday - Day 12  – Flight back home

In the morning, guests will be transferred downstream by boat to the Pukararãnkre community landing strip to take a charter flight to Carajas Comercial Airport. We plan to use Cessna 210 for up to 4 people and Cessna Caravan for 5 to 8 anglers. The flight duration is 1:30hs and upon arrival in CKS airport you can take a commercial flight to Sao Paulo, Rio, Belem or Brasila which have international flights.l (not included in the package).
