Weather: The rain came sooner than expected this year, so we had several days of heavy rain during the week.
Temperature: Between 31° and 38°C during the day and 20°C to 26°C at night.
Water Temperature: 30°C
Xingu River Conditions: The water level of the Xingu River is stable and its color is clear. The tributaries still have low water levels with great clarity as well.
The water levels and temperatures made fishing even harder than the week before. But through the hard work of our anglers and guides, the river provided the peacock bass, matrinxã, and pacus we were looking for after the rain. Here lies the very important reminder to always have a rod rigged up with a #6 terrestrial pattern, always at the ready!
Number of Anglers: 6
Total number of fish landed over this week: 126 (payara, peacock bass, bicuda, matrinxã, corvina, wolffish)
Total Payara Landed: 9
Total Payara Missed : 30
Biggest payara landed in this week: 78cm
Peacock Bass: 135

Highlight of the Week:
Philip had a great week catching a wide variety of Xingu River fish in all their amazing sizes. Big payaras, huge bicuda, incredible peacock bass, and corvinas. Well done Philip! We hope you have a great experience on your next adventure, on the Marié River!
